What to expect at your maternity photoshoot

Maternity photos celebrate the magic of growing new life, capturing the glow, love, and anticipation before everything changes forever.

They’re a beautiful pause, a tender tribute to the journey of motherhood, before tiny feet fill your world (and your laundry basket).

FAQ's

Let’s be honest — maternity photography can feel a bit intimidating.

Your body’s changing in every direction, your back aches, nothing fits the same way it used to, and the last thing you might feel is “photo ready.”

I get it.

I’m a mum myself. I know what it feels like to love your bump and struggle with it at the same time. But I also know how powerful and beautiful this moment is — and how quickly it passes.

My job is to help you feel confident, calm, and completely yourself. Whether you're glowing with excitement or exhausted and unsure, you're exactly where you're meant to be. And I’ll be with you every step of the way.

“But I’m not photogenic…”

So many of my clients say this — and guess what? Most of them walk away saying, “I can’t believe that’s me.”

You don’t need to know how to pose, what to do with your hands, or even where to look. I’ll gently guide you the entire time, in a way that feels easy, natural, and even (dare I say it?) fun.

You might worry:

“What if I look huge?”

“What if I feel weird being intimate in front of the camera?”

“What if I cry, or laugh too loud, or my toddler melts down?”

The answer? It’s all welcome here.

I’ve worked with pregnant women as a midwife and a photographer — I promise, there’s nothing too much or too awkward. This isn’t about being perfect. It’s about being you, beautifully and bravely, in the season you’re in.

What to Wear — And What You Need

You don’t need a fancy dress or to suddenly transform into someone else.

Wear something that feels comfortable and beautiful to you. Whether that’s a simple bodycon to show your bump, a soft floaty wrap, or your favourite jeans with the top unbuttoned — we’ll create magic with what feels good.

And if you do want help, I’ve got styling tips ready for you.
